Milk...

I really am loving 'Milk' by Kings of Leon right now....I need to get some itunes credit so I can download some of their music.

The Skeleton is a study I did of the skeleton at the studio. It is rather out of proportion. The Photo is form www.hedislimane.com/diary/ (I am not sure why but I can't ever get it to link properly.... any suggestions).
Anyways, if you have never seen that website then you need to, it is amazing.

I am really excited because I am leaving to stay with one of my dear friends, Katherine, for the weekend. Here are some pictures I took over the week we spent together during summer....

All film, by the way.

If it feels as though there must be something missing, then you must know how it would feel to be complete

I have forgotten how wonderful Page france is. They are such a joy to listen to.

dress and bag are thrifted. Thanks to my dad for taking the picture.

This is a little something I did a few months ago and had poured in aluminum. First I carved it in to a block of sandstone (backwards and inside out - so confusing) and then it was poured. I sold it to an uncle, but before letting go of it my dad took some snaps of it for my portfolio.

Cold Rainy art day

Haha I am quite a silly person. I have been wanting to wear a rain coat for a month and when it finally rains all day long I leave it at home. Anyways, today was, other than the weather which I was unprepared for, quite nice. I sculpted, went to the library and drew, went cafe hopping, and then went to an opening of a amazing new exhibit at my favorite gallery. By the end of the day I looked like a complete hobo because I was wet and had put on a bunch of clothes that were in the back of my car because it was cold!
My dad brought me my developed film yesterday, so here are some pictures of beloved city on nice days.

I love dresses. I got a very nice black one form the 90's-ish today at the thift store, as well as a tribal print cropped vest and some awesome red/black acid wash high waisted jeans that I am cutting into shorts! How exciting is that?
This is one of my dear friends, a rose floral dress. It is from the thrift store. Sweater was from a theater sale, scarf- H&M, and shoes UO.

Today was very nice but I feel quite tired. I am making a chair out of cardboard for a project that a very nice art teacher invited me to come and do wither her AP art class. It is quite fun. And guess what? I met some nice people todays at school.
Now I am going to take a steamy shower.

A weekend full of adventures

This weekend has been interesting. Yesterday I got to work from life for 6 hours (which was awesome, but sadly the results of my labor was not so amazing). Then I headed downtown and went to an independent film with some dear friends of mine. Until yesterday I had never walked out of a movie. Let me just say that 'My Winnipeg' is not enjoyable. Just pretend that you are somewhat perverted surrealist artist who likes symbolism (doesn't sound bad yet, but listen to this) who is very sick and delirious and so is having one of those horrible sick dreams in black and white with monotone voice repeating itself over and over again. The movie put me to sleep, as well as made me feel sick, all at once. Not something I pay for. In fact, there are people who receive large amounts of money to cure those who are sick and delirious (called doctors).
After that we went galavanting about the city and watched the beautiful sky change colors as the sun set... and it was cold! We met people who my friend knew and they dropped a pumpkin off a bridge and it exploded! Then I went home because it was cold and dark.
Anyways, sorry for the lack if imagery. My camera is still in its grave. However I am going to get some rolls of film developed this week. Until then, here are some stale morsels that you might enjoy. And thank you for your sweet comments!

I wore this a while ago. The dress was an old night gown that I changed the bottom on. My dad told me it looked like a curtain dress that the designer had left unfinished. Oh well, I like it. Boots are UO.
I just love this image form Lookbook. I could spend ages in that wonderland!

Now off to watch 'A roman Holiday'.

Thank God we aren't the only freaks

I am very sad, so many of my friends live far away and I am a lazy long distance friend. I miss so many people right now. I apologize to all of you dears.

This is what I do during comp

Sorry for the great lack of post. I have been out of town, had relatives over, and then had to catch up on school work. Now that things are getting back to the normal schedule I hope to not desert my blog as much as I have in the past few weeks.
